Abstract

Analysis of the transient response of Blumlein circuits with linear LR models is made. The method of analysis is based on the traveling wave theory, which can be used with complicated problems such as the analysis of filter response. Some consideration is also made for the optimization of UV laser operations which use Blumlein circuits. It is concluded that preionization of the discharge channel is more important not only to the uniformity and reproducibility of the discharge but also to the efficiency of energy injection into the discharge channel.
