Abstract

Stock trading is one of the most common investment methods that offers high returns on investment. More and more people are investing in stocks to earn passive income. However, numerous novice investors lack the knowledge and practical experience to invest safely and sensibly in the stock market. With this issue in mind, the objective of this research project is to design and develop a web application for virtual stock trading called 'Stock Plenty'. The Stock Plenty application provides several useful features for novice investors to learn and understand basic stock investment knowledge, search and view market information, practice buying and selling stocks in a simulated trading environment and evaluate user performance. The Stock Plenty application can be beneficial for novice investors to gain knowledge on stock investment, become familiar with the stock trading process, and accumulate hands-on experience. As a result, they will feel ready and be more confident to trade stocks in the real market.
