Abstract

This paper presents a rule-based method to recognize the boundaries of Thai complex sentences using thîi/,/sm{turned with long right leg}ŵη/or/{glottal stop}an/ as relative pronoun. We have used the first prize essays of the King Bhumiphol's scholarship award 1979 - 2004 as a learning corpus to analyse the structure of complex sentences including thî/,/sm{turned with long right leg}ŵη/or/{glottal stop}an/ and create the grammars in the form of "Unitex" graphs for bounding the complex sentences. The results are 73% of Recall and 68% of Precision.
