Abstract
Constructing free-body diagrams is crucial for solving force and motion problems, yet many secondary school students struggle due to misconceptions and a lack of understanding of fundamental concepts. Existing educational technologies offer interactive and engaging ways to learn free-body diagrams but have limitations, such as insufficient detail in force action points and incomplete representation of forces. To address such, this paper proposes an innovation in the form of a web-based interactive program, created using the ADDIE model as the framework for development and Scratch as the visual programming language, that aims to provide an effective learning experience for constructing free-body diagrams. It is also integrated with game elements and pop-up feedback to guide students. Currently, the study is in the development stage. Preliminary testing and assessment with a group of experts has shown 22 positive results, with suggestions for further improvements. The next stage will be to assess the efficacy of the improved system with actual students.
