Abstract

The time course of the current response produced by a prolonged application of dopamine (DA) was studied in Aplysia ganglion cells with different types of DA receptors. The Na+-dependent fast excitatory receptors were found to be more readily desensitized than Independent inhibitory ones, whereas Na+-dependent slow excitatory ones showed little sign of desensitization.
