Abstract

The authors regret providing incorrect images of TEM in Fig. 2 and SEM of untreated Escherichia coli (Control) and (PABA-PVA)AgNPs treated Escherichia coli in Fig. 6 caused by the personal negligence during the revised process. Accordingly, the authors have repeated the TEM and SEM analysis. The authors also noticed that Fig. 4B and 4C captions were erroneously switched, and the peak position of PVA in the published content is incorrect. Thus, the authors would like to provide new correct Figures (Figs. 2, 4, 6) as provided below. Also the statement in section 3.2. Material characterization “Moreover, the XRD of PVA (Fig. 4B) shows identified peaks at 11.4°, 19.5°, 22.5° and 40.8°” has to be changed to “Moreover, the XRD of PVA (Fig. 4B) shows identified peaks at 10.6°, 19.0°, 22.4° and 40.0°”. The authors confirm that this correction does not change discussion and conclusion reported in the paper. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
