Abstract

A model aimed at helping users to look for web resources related to a single class of objects with multiple dimensional attributes is presented. The model helps the users figure out the statistical distribution of these objects in a pan-and-zoom approach in a smart form in comparison with the first step of a search through a discovery of topics. The similarities and differences with related works on zooming are also analyzed. An analogy, made with information retrieval in texts with hierarchical summaries is also presented.
