Abstract

ABSTRACT:: We describe a 17-month-old female presented with an acute overdose of olanzapine, an atypical antipsychotic. She displayed prolonged extrapyramidal symptoms as compared with that in previous reports and prolactin levels above the upper limits of normal ranges. This is the first report to measure serum prolactin levels in an olanzapine-overdosed toddler and the second to calculate olanzapine's elimination half-life.
