Abstract

The research aims to 1) study students' evaluation of teaching effectiveness of history of Buddhism Course in the Bachelor of Arts Program in Religious Studies and 2) examine the comments and suggestions regarding teaching and learning management.
The samples are 68 students of B.A. degree in 1st Semester/2014. The research tools are questionnaires and in-depth interview guidelines. The statistics used in this study are mean (), Standard Deviation (SD).

The results of the research are as follows: 1) teaching effectiveness of History of Buddhism Course is totally at the high level = 4.18, SD = 0.74 and 2) comments and suggestions toward teaching revealed that the samples generally acknowledged that teacher is good in teaching and educating students as well. Students mostly appreciated the field trip activity. For suggestion, teacher should invite experts to teach in the course. Data from interview indicated that all the samples impressed and received some certain advantage from excursions. They all agreed that learning through group activities by creating and presenting some videos on social network program could helped them better learning and understanding more because they as a teamwork can do on data editing, and application of social network online for benefit of learning.
