Dr. Songpon Getsuwan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and the Excellence Center in Organ Transplantation, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, in Bangkok, Thailand. Throughout his career, Dr. Getsuwan has been active in national and international medical societies, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. He is currently a core member of the Young Asia-Pacific Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (APSPGHAN), having previously served on APSPGHAN’s Endoscopy and Membership and Credentials Subcommittees. Dr.Getsuwan’s accolades are headlined by the APSPGHAN Young Investigator Award and two European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) Young Investigator Awards. During his medical training, he was honored with the Professor Prasong–Professor Sutsakhon Tuchinda Award for Excellence in Pediatrics from Mahidol University's Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. His achievements also include research presentation awards from both the Thai Transplantation Society and the Thai Association for the Study of the Liver. His ongoing research focuses on pediatric hepatology and liver transplantation.
