Praewa Wongburi's research has consistently focused on leveraging big data analytics and recurrent neural networks (RNN) to improve operational efficiencies and predictive capabilities in wastewater treatment plants. Through her work, Dr. Wongburi has contributed to advancing the understanding of effluent water quality, sludge volume index prediction, and the broader application of data-driven decision-making tools in environmental engineering.
Looking forward, Dr. Wongburi is dedicated to exploring the optimization of aeration in wastewater treatment processes, enhancing real-time control systems, and developing advanced predictive models for effluent quality. Her upcoming research aims to establish a logistics framework for real-time prediction models and an energy efficiency database to support the transition towards carbon-neutral hospital wastewater treatment plants. These efforts are poised to significantly impact the field by improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon footprints, and facilitating the adoption of sustainable wastewater treatment solutions.
